The 70cm wide AEG HK764070FB is a smart 4-zone ceramic hob possessing sophisticated features while remaining simple to use. It includes both a triple and a multi-purpose cooking zone for extra flexibility. The temperature you want is set through a swipe of your fingertip on the DirekTouch touch screen controls, providing an easy to clean and flush finish. All cooking zones can each use one of the two timer functions at the same time. Theres a countdown timer, which can be set for up to 99 minutes - great for avoiding over-cooking something. The STOP+GO function simultaneously switches all cooking zones that are switched on to the keep warm setting, and then back to the heat setting that was previously used. This is a godsend for dinner party hosts who want to pre-cook the food before their guests arrive, and then want to get it hot again quickly for the table. All the cooking zones are also equipped with an automatic warm-up function. This sets the cooking zone to the highest setting for a certain period of time and then automatically switches back to the cooking setting that was originally set. So you could bring a pan of water to the boil before reducing the heat to a simmer without even having to be in the kitchen. And this hob is incredibly safe to use - not only does it have a child lock for extra peace of mind, but if the HK764070FB is left on the power automatically cuts out after a set time period.
