The 5KWK1522 allows you to change what temperature it switches off at anywhere from 50 degrees centigrade right through to 100 degrees centigrade.Hot drinks are something built in to the British way of life, however, not all hot drinks should be made with boiling water. Your traditional black tea and peppermint/chamomile teas can be brewed at 100 degrees centigrade, however green tea should not be hotter than 75 - 80 degrees, coffee is completely different too, whilst instant coffee should be brewed at 80 - 85 degrees centigrade, filter coffee should actually be brewed between 50 and 60 degrees centigrade.
